WHY RETIN-A AND OTHER EXFOLIANTS MAKE PERMANENT MAKE UP FADE FASTER

Frequent peels and lasers on the brows will fade quicker due to the chemicals traveling under the skin. Retinols/Retin-A’s, other anti-aging creams or serums containing acids will fade your permanent makeup prematurely even after it is healed. You must be off all Retinols/Retina-A 30 days prior to your appointment on the area that you will be getting the procedure.

RETINOLS/RETIN-A'S AND OTHER EXFOLIANTS

These items contain certains acids that affects the permanent makeup. It will make the it fade faster, so in a way it seems like a waste of money and time spent if you use it. It would not be the esthetician's fault the permanent makeup faded, but the products you use.

HOW TO PREVENT PERMANENT MAKEUP FROM FADING

Please make sure to follow the after care procedures your esthetician. It is there to help you maintain the permanent makeup so it won't fade. Every after care procedure is different depending on what you do. Refrain from using Retinols/Retin-A's, etc. If you take good care of where you got your procedure correctly, it would give you the best and long-lasting results you want. There is also usually a touch-up sessions which will give you the final result.
