THE MICRONEEDLING PROCESS

The microneedling process, is exactly how it sounds. It is a minimally invasive treatment in which creates tiny punctures in the skin using micro-fine needles (from 0.5 to 2 millimeters in diameter). The reason many people get microneedling done is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for a smoother, firmer, and more toned skin. Microneedling is mostly used on the face and treats various scars, wrinkles, and large pores.

Microneedling is also used to evenly stimulates epidermal layer of the skin. Obviously, you will feel slight pinching or tingling sensation when the outer surface of your facial skin is punctured with 30-35 microneedles. However, that little pain is bearable and it disappears once the needling is done. The procedure is quick without causing any discomfort as there is no such type of terrible pain. The numbing cream that makes this process painless is applied on the skin 30 minutes before conducting this treatment.

This can be a good procedure you can do if you’re in good health and have certain skin concerns that haven’t responded to home treatments or other types of dermatologic procedures, such as peels. This can also be a final step you can consider before considering cosmetic surgery for anti-aging and other concerns. For more information about microneedling, talk to your dermatologist to see if this is the right option for your skin.

THE PROCEDURE

Step 1: Clean Skin with Cleanser

It is important to start every treatment with clean skin to start on a fresh canvas.

Step 2: Numbing Cream will be Applied

Numbing cream should help ease the pain a little, however, some discomfort is normal, especially in the areas that have less fatty tissue and direct bone contact. Numbing creaming generally takes 30 minutes or more.

Step 3: Apply Fulvic Acid Fulvic Acid is one of the most powerful antioxidants known for skin health. It contains fatty acids, ketones, flavonoids, and vitamins. Fulvic Acid transports nutrients deep within the epidermis for hydration, wrinkle reduction, and reduced inflammation. It helps revitalize skin cells, prevent oxidation, and protect the skin at a cellular level in order to effectively target aging skin, allergies, irritations, and acne. It is added onto the skin one area at a time.

Step 4: Microneedling The acutal microneedling will then start. A small wand object with very fine needles is used to create small, controlled wounds all around the face. These micro wounds create a channel that triggers the body to create new collagen and elastin.

Then you are done! Microneedling has so many great benefits and is one of the best treatments to help you get the glowing complexion that we all want! Make sure to follow after care procedures for the best results.
